As pandemic restrictions have eased, and the city has begun to open up a bit more, everyday germs have found their way back into our lives. After a long stretch of good health, you might find that you are starting to get sick more often, but it’s not COVID. The common cold, among other every day viruses are back.

The ways in which we protect ourselves from COVID can just as easily help stave off colds. Social distancing, wear your mask when necessary, wash your hands and clean surfaces regularly. And don’t forget to get your flu shot!
What to do when you have a cold?
First and foremost, if you’re sick, stay home. Do what you can to avoid getting others sick while also getting yourself some much needed rest. Wash your hands frequently, get extra sleep, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and plenty of fluids. If your symptoms don’t ease within a week, contact your doctor.
